Marisa Manes
Marisa Manes will be presenting poetry and culture from Italy.
Marisa was born in Italy where she completed grade 4 at school.
Then came to Australia with her parents at the age of 11.
Upon arrival Marisa made a 100% effort to learn English
in order to get rid of her Italian accent, to the extent of tape recording
her teacher and practising at home by mimicking her teacher’s words.
Marisa teaches Italian for beginners in 6 lessons at Torquay
Spring Creek Community House.
