STORYTELLING WITH CERIDWYN

Ceridwyn Gordon has been soaked in stories, mythologies and song since a child.
Her Grandmother is a natural storyteller and passed the art on to her son, Ceridwyn's father,
who became a full time storyteller when Ceridwyn was about 10.
Like many rebellious children Ceridwyn chose not to pursue the path of storytelling until more recent years.
Now in her 30's Ceridwyn has 2 beautiful daughters, Skyla(6) and Melody (3) who have reawakened the magic of story.
Alongside being a devoted mother Ceridwyn has spent the last 8 years telling stories at children's parties,
festivals and other community events.
The joy that it brings her provide the enthusiasm and energy her performances demonstrate.
She believes strongly in involving audience so that they too are part of the experience and the story belongs to everyone.

Ceridwyn is a trained Drama and English secondary teacher and has also taught primary level drama at Helen O'Grady Drama Academy.
She has facilitated community theatre in different settings including directing children's performances
at The High Tide Festival in 2004 and 2005.
She feels privileged to have spent the last 5 1/2 years as one of the singing leaders from 'Singing For Fun',
a monthly community singing event held at the Bellbrae Hall.
At the moment Ceridwyn is working as an integration aide at Sacred Heart College, teaching music at a Kindergarten
twice a week and thoroughly enjoying being with her growing children.
Her partner Dave, also a teacher, is a loving partner and father who supports all her creative ventures.
